Arsenal v Hull City – we win :)

September 28, 2008

CAN’T STOP SAYING OH MY GOD
This feels better than winning the World Cup, the FA Cup, going to No 1, getting an Oscar etc etc.
Highlights:
Alan Shearer saying:  That was the goal of the season and let’s just talk about how well Hull City played – they were magnificent:
Arsene Wenger’s post-match interview – he thinks it’s [...]

Just a draw – Everton v Hull City

September 22, 2008

Don’t let anyone tell you that it was crap to end up with “just a draw”.
Some perspective people:  Everton finished 5th last season.  That’s 5th.  They are also the only football team to have broken into the “top 4″ in recent years.
Also they have some more than decent players (everyone wishing Cahill is injured – just a [...]

Newcastle v Hull City match report

September 19, 2008

So you reckon the dream might be over?
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
You may have heard that Newcastle are having a few difficulties?

September 19, 2008

Listened to the match on the radio.
Can get match commentaries on Radio Humberside, but not on the digital version – bloody stupid! Gggggrrrrrrr…..
There was a lot of apprehension about today’s game – especially as George Boateng is out with an injury and Blackburn looked pretty darn good last season.
I always hated Paul Ince in his playing days at ManU (one of [...]

Should have started this a few weeks ago

September 19, 2008

So here’s a quick re-cap
1st game of the season:  Home v Fulham
Fab atmosphere.  Eardrums blown off when everyone cheered for Deano.
Jimmy Bullard surprisingly doesn’t look as old in “real life”.
Not having a season ticket we’re up in the North Stand – for this game not too high up and pretty close to the goal - great view.
1st experience [...]
